Even the most adventures diner who expects that little bit more will not be disappointed at this decadent hideaway in the centre of Ystrad Mynach. Owner Mohammed Miah has travelled to the north - west frontiers of India to discover that dishes you'll find on his menu. Forget your usual kormas, bhoonas and dhansaks, although the favourites are still there, a visit to viceroy of India demands you try something different. For example, one of the Bangladeshi family's house speciality dishes is sure to win over. The choice the Sukka Murgh - breast pieces of cooked in onion, green peppers, fenugreek and pineapple with a tangy sauce. Mohammed changes the menu every year, retaining the dishes that a difficult popular with ever - growing clientele ( many of whom have been enjoyed special occasions at the bustling venue for eight years), and adding exciting dishes to tempt new diners. You'll find it difficult to choose a favourite meal out of such a varied selection ,and the side dishes and starters are equally impressive. A highlight is the sizzling Subzi Panner - mixed vegetables cooked with soft cheese and cumin in a sauce finished with, chilli and coriander. |
